I built LVL Up Performance because I saw firsthand how broken performance management is at most companies. Annual reviews that nobody prepares for. Feedback tools that collect dust. HR systems that feel like they were designed in 2005.

I wanted to build something different: a platform where giving feedback is as easy as scanning a QR code, where goals actually connect to company strategy, and where HR tools don't need a training manual.

LVL Up Performance is the result of that frustration turned into code. We're bootstrapped, opinionated, and obsessed with making performance management something teams actually want to use.

Our Story

LVL Up Performance started in 2024 as a side project. The idea was simple: build a performance management tool that doesn't make people groan when they hear "it's review time."

The first version had three features: goals, feedback, and a QR code that let anyone give instant peer recognition. Teams loved the QR code concept so much that we knew we were onto something.

Since then, we've expanded into a full platform — OKRs with key results, 360-degree reviews, AI-powered coaching, career portfolios (LVL Proof), HR tools, and a gamification system that makes people actually want to engage. We're still early and growing, and we're looking for teams who want to grow with us.
